BlckBts limited edition fashion accessories inspired & showcased alongside Philly’s biggest names in art & style: Joan Shepp, Adam Wallacavage, Cory Wade.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Philadelphia, PA. October 26, 2015. Shannah Warwick, the fabric dye and manipulation master behind the visionary fashion accessory line BlckBts (pronounced “Black Boots”) has created a highly inspired collection of 6 limited edition pieces which will be unveiled at a multifaceted event at Philadelphia’s most highly regarded boutique Joan Shepp (www.joanshepp.com). The nunofelted pieces are hand adorned with leather!
The 6 limited edition pieces designed by Warwick for BlckBts are inspired by the home of prominent artist Adam Wallacavage. (www.adamwallacavage.com) Wallacavage’s internationally sought after octopus chandeliers, and other kitch pieces that decorate his ornamental home, are the inspiration for the BlckBts capsule collection.
A highly stylized BlckBts photo shoot by Stevie Chris (www.steviechris.com) at Wallacavage’s home produced stunning editorial photography starring BlckBts muse Cory Wade (www.corywadeofficial.com), who gained fame as 2nd runner up on the first co-ed cycle of America’s Next Top Model. “This is the first time I’ve ever been so directly influenced by an artist, space, and model; I’ve had a true experience of working with my muses!” said Warwick.
The BlckBts 6 piece limited edition collection, sold exclusively at Joan Shepp, will transform the high-end retailer into a living art installation, in a reception open to the public on Sat., Nov. 7, 2015, 12:00 – 5:00. The large-scale editorial photographs (also for sale) from the shoot in Wallacavage’s home, starring Cory Wade, will be displayed. Fashionistas who purchase a BlckBts fashion accessory will receive a smaller format editorial image featuring the special piece. Small bites of food (tuna tartare, wakami, wanton crisp) will be provided by the Shepp’s favorite restaurant, Rouge, (www.rouge98.com) paired with Chaddsford White, hand selected by a representative from the local winery (www.chaddsford.com).
